July 05. - Bit strange today...
What is this? Several different clouds at the west end again or a huge one down there? 50 MHz was not in a good condition again today but suddenly a 144 opening appeared in the same area like 2 days ago. And again signals were faint and deep QSB on it while 50 MHz was wide open to the Carribean and stateside like the last few days before. EA8 was into F while I7 was into EA7 and CN into F and I4 at the same time. MUF was high for the rest of the day with very short peaks up to 144 MHz when EA4AMX made YU at 15:15. The second opening today took place from 18:20 until 18:50, short and spotty from I to G and EI and from EA/CT to 9A, S5, DL and OK. Very strong broadcast from SV, I and EA was into DL until the evening up to 108 MHz.
Later a huge and long 144 opening to CU occured from CT and EA1,2,3 and many were dreaming for the final step - crossing the pond. Because at the same time a huge and very strong Es took place from Northeast USA into VE. Perhaps we were close to it again?
