June 06. 2003 - Twice a day | Please send your comments/reports/log-sheets/audios to DK5YA

MUF was low in the morning rising slowly today. Many were concentrating on 50 MHz cause there was a huge opening across the pond to stateside via multi-hop. At 13.00 UT F reported lots of BC from EA suddenly and at 13:34 UT 144 was open from EA8 to F and G. That one was short and spotty again. MUF went up and down in the afternoon, no sign of another opening. But at 17.20 UT EA came back on BC into PA0 and DL while Italy was into EI up to 108 MHz. Round 17:40 UT 144 was open again, from EI to southern I, F to northern I and from G, DL, PA, OZ and OK into EA and CT. That one lasted until 18:51 UT.
Involved DXCC today: CT, G, GW, GJ, EA, EA8, EI, PA0, ON, F, DL, OZ, OK, I

At 1748Z I heard on my PMR handy CT1D?? clearly and loudly. I use a pair of PMR handies to watch 144.300 MHz when I am not present at my station. So I can sit in the garden and will not miss any Es opening. Yesterday the CT1-station was aready fading out at the moment I reached my station. I could not complete any contact, but there was a lot of traffic via Es.
